Bio:
Branch Secretary since several branches merged into T-25 Branch, around the middle of 2023. Currently a GMB Regional Council Member & GMB Regional Committee member. Previously held the position of Branch Secretary for Asda Stores A61 Branch and been a GMB Member for around 15 years. My Biggest word for everyone is Respect. I think this is a basic expectation we should have towards each other. Too many times we have people being treat like a number, where we should sit down discuss and talk to each other. If we do this, then we can treat people on a personal level, with dignity, & Respect. I used to be self-employed selling on open air markets many years ago and have done various jobs. Selling Sky door to door, I worked for Addecco employment agency at Christian Salverson, Portabello and L.G.Electronics, Washington. Did some years as a courier doing work for T.N.T.Sameday, picking up parcels/documents for customers in the North-East, and delivering them anywhere in the country sameday. I have a pet dog called Nova, and I like having a rummage about car boot sales.

Bio:
I joined the GMB when I started working at Renolit Cramlington, I quickly signed myself up to be a workplace representative in 2022 once I seen the excellent impact the union can have within a workplace. Later that year I took on the role of Renolit GMB Secretary then In 2023 I took over as GMB Chairman at Renolit and started to make changes to modernise the union in the workplace. Within T-25 I am the Branch Co-Ordinator which encompasses various roles this includes, Assistant Branch Secretary, Equalities Officer, Campaigns Officer and Signa-tee. Within the GMB I currently hold positions on North East Yorkshire and Humber Regional Council and Nationally with the Central Executive Council.

Bio:
I formally worked at Formica for 10 years in production before moving into the position of RTITB MHE instructor and examiner covering both North Shields and Newton Aycliffe factories, previously I had mainly worked in woodworking and Joinery as well as 5 years with Bass breweries both in warehouse and dray deliveries. I am the first Union representative the MDC (Warehouse) has ever had in the history of the  Renolit Cramlington site and I'm extremely excited to be working alongside with both my fellow union members. I have been approached many times in previous jobs to become a union representative but never felt the time was right until recently, my strong Socialist beliefs as well as my desire for fairness in the work place hopefully places me in the ideal position to become a good representative along with my excellent fellow GMB Representative at Cramlington and the wider union. I recently have been elected to the role of branch political officer a role i cannot wait to get involved in!

Bio:
I have been a GMB member for 28 years and I have always took a keen interest and supported trade unions. I decided in 2023 to become a workplace representative at Renolit in order to support my workplace and colleagues. I was keen to take on a new challenge and expand my knowledge of GMB to further support our members and workplace. I regularly take part in as many shop steward and branch meetings as I can and I took on the role of branch auditor this year.

Bio:
I’ve been a GMB member since 1985, but I have only been a workplace representative since late 2021. I became a representative of the GMB union as I wanted to improve my workplace for my fellow members. Since becoming a representative I’ve involved myself in our GMB committee at Renolit and I have taken the role of GMB committee secretary at Renolit. More recently I have been involved within the branch during its early days of being created and now as an auditor.
